4          OPEN FORUM 

Members of the public are invited to ask any question, or make a statement on any matter related to their local area covered by the City Council Wards listed above. The Forum will last up to 30 minutes, but may be extended at the Chair’s discretion. The Chair may also time limit public speakers to ensure as many are accommodated as practicable.

 

PUBLIC SPEAKING RULES – relating to items or reports to committee  5, and 6, if you wish to ask a question or make a statement to the committee please contact the committee officer before the meeting starts.  You will have up to three minutes to put your question or make a statement, with an opportunity of a further two minute supplementary.

5                    NORTH CAMBRIDGE CREDIT UNION (NCCU)  -  David Warren

North Cambridge Credit Union (NCCU) is a financial cooperative that is open to all who share the common bond of living or working north of the river/Madingley Road as far as the A14.  The intention of this item is to raise awareness amongst Councillors of NCCU's role in combating financial exclusion in this area of the city, particularly in the light of the Local Strategic Partnership's Social Inclusion and Inequality Priority.  NCCU gratefully acknowledges the support to date of individual Councillors in raising awareness of its services, and invites the Committee to endorse its contribution to the Local Strategic Partnership priority of extending financial inclusion in the city.
