Members
of the public are invited to ask any question, or make a statement on any
matter related to their local area covered by the City Council Wards listed

Stagecoach Restructuring of Routes
Stagecoach is to restructure the Citi routes on the 25th of July. The
objective of the new network is to increase the level of bus patronage within
the existing level of capital investment and operating costs. To achieve this,
Stagecoach is to strengthen the day and evening frequencies along core routes
and run off-peak hourly bus shuttles in the areas that are the most affected by
this bus restructuring.
Philip Norwell, Stagecoach’s Commercial Director, has attended
Area Committee meetings to present the new network on the 29th of June
(North) and the 8th of July (South) as
these areas will undergo most of the
changes. He will also attend East Area
on 28 July and respond to questions from the members of the public.
Basil
Jackson, Head of Public Transport at the County Council, will also attend.
2 MINUTES
To confirm the minutes
of the meeting held on 17 June 2004.

The new licensing act requires
the council to prepare and publish a statement of its licensing policy. Before determining the policy, the council
must undertake extensive consultation in accordance with Government guidance. We will be achieving consultation by means
of letters to businesses, leaflets, press articles, a licensing forum, an open
day and through presentations at area committees. (Roger Coey)
