To recommend the Executive Councillor approve the following applications for Discretionary Rate Relief:
A. Parkside Pools, Kings Hedges Learner Pool, Abbey Pool and Cherry Hinton Village Centre
SLM Community Leisure Ltd has applied for 20% discretionary rate relief on eligible properties for the full period of its contract with the City Council to manage leisure facilities. Mandatory relief of 80% has already been approved. Costs will be met by existing recreation client budgets.
The Executive Councillor is asked to approve 20% discretionary rate relief on Parkside Pools, Kings Hedges Learner Pool, Abbey Pool and Cherry Hinton Village Centre for the period 29 September 2003 to 30 September 2010.
B. The Junction (Clifton Road) and the Cambridge Drama Centre (Covent Garden)
The Executive Councillor is asked to approve 20% discretionary rate relief on the Junction (Clifton Road) and the Cambridge Drama Centre (Covent Garden) for April 2004 to March 2005. Mandatory relief of 80% has already been approved. Costs will be met through the existing City Council partnership agreement.
