Environment Scrutiny Committee on the 18th March considered a report about  a new draft Local Plan for the City which, if agreed by Council, on the 10th April will become a material consideration in the making of planning decisions.  It will not replace the existing Local Plan however until it is formally adopted in 2005. 

 

To assist deliberations at the end of Planning Committee on the 16th April officers will give Members a short briefing on the implications of the new Local Plan for planning decision making.

 

Information for the Public

 

You are welcome to attend this meeting as an observer, although it may be necessary to ask you to leave the room during the discussion of matters which are described as confidential on the agenda.

 

Members of the public, who want to speak about an application on the agenda for this meeting can do so, if they have submitted a written representation within the consultation period relating to the application and notified the Committee Manager that they wish to speak by 12.00 noon on the day before the meeting.

 

In the event of the fire alarm sounding (which is a continuous ringing sound), you should pick up your possessions and leave the building by the route you came in. Once clear of the building, you should assemble on the pavement opposite the main entrance to the Guildhall and await further instructions. If your escape route or the assembly area is unsafe, you will be directed to safe areas by a member of Cambridge City Council staff.
