7          Amusement with Prizes Permit

 

An application has been received from the following for an ‘Amusement with Prizes Permit’ under Section 34 of the Gaming Act 1968:

 

Applicant:       Messrs Bill Stewart and Tony Sumner

Premises:      CABCO A1 Taxis, Kirkwood Road, Cambridge, CB4 2PF

 

This is the first application received by these persons for this premises. No objections have been made to the application by the Police and no objections have been received from the public following the public advertisement. Ward councillors have been notified.

 

Recommendation: To approve the permit application.

To note that the Council has been advised of the following transfer of names of  licensees:

 

5th Avenue:  was: P Armitage, S Loftus, E Seaman & JM Winter

now: S Loftus, E Seaman, C Walters & J Winter

 

 

The next scheduled meeting of the Licensing Committee is Thursday 31 October 2002.

If you do not wish to speak on an application, you are welcome to attend this meeting as an observer, although it may be necessary to ask you to leave the room during the discussion of matters which are described as confidential on the agenda.

In the event of the fire alarm sounding  (which is a continuous ringing sound), you should pick up your possessions and leave the building by the route you came in. Once clear of the building, you should assemble on the pavement opposite the main entrance to the Guildhall and await further instructions. If your escape route or the assembly area is unsafe, you will be directed to safe areas by a member of Cambridge City Council staff.
