Councillors
Each councillor normally serves four years in office. A mayor and a deputy mayor are chosen each year from among the 42 councillors.
Councillors participate in a variety of scrutiny, regulatory and area committees. See more in the meetings section.
Each of the 14 city council wards is also represented by a county councillor on Cambridgeshire County Council. Find out more from the Cambridgeshire County Council website.
Councillors are required to register their financial and other interests under the council's code of conduct. This register can be inspected by the public.
The councillors' allowances for 2007-2008 are available to download and read.
Please contact the committee administrator on 01223 457013 or email democratic.services@cambridge.gov.uk to make an appointment to inspect.
