Due to the nature of the city we live in, national planning advice might not recognise the diverse and unique needs of the city. To address this the City Council has produced guidance documents to help applicants.
Also in this section are the relevant forms that an applicant needs to complete to submit an application, and instructions on calculating the appropriate fee.
The web pages also hold copies of information leaflets on the planning process itself, and on other aspects of planning within Cambridge.
Further Planning Advice
If you require further planning information and guidance, the pages also contain links to other websites, such as the Government's Planning Portal, and the Communities and Local Government website, which together hold a range of information, guidance and advice on planning matters.
The Communities and Local Government website is particularly useful for gaining information about legislation and other guidance.
The Planning Portal is a valuable resource, containing a range of general information which is needed to make an application.
For planning appeals, the most useful resource is the Planning Inspectorate, which details all appeals information.
