The main responsibilities of the arboricultural service are:

  • to manage the trees owned by the council
  • to advise planning officers on development control issues
  • to manage all the processes of the tree protection system, tree preservation orders and applications for works on trees in conservation areas

We do not manage trees within school grounds or social service areas.
