Our arts and entertainments team is responsible for many of the events that make Cambridge the place to enjoy the very best in arts and entertainments.

These include the Cambridge Corn Exchange, the Cambridge Folk Festival, Childrens' festivals, Summer in the City, senior citizens' events, the Comedy Marquee club, The Cambridge Guildhall, the annual fireworks display and Midsummer Fair.

Easter children's theatre

A series of fun theatre shows for children aged between 3 and 9 will take place in April at Queen Edith's Primary School on Godwin Way, Cambridge.

Cambridge Corn Exchange

The Corn Exchange is East Anglia's premier venue with a programme featuring some of the very best entertainment including rock, pop, folk, blues, orchestral music, comedy, family shows, West End musicals and much more.

The Guildhall

The Guildhall is a listed building set in the historic centre of the city featuring two impressive spaces, the Large Hall and the Small Hall and offering a programme of events that includes live music events, comedy, talks, craft fairs and much more.

Events

Summer in the City

Summer in the City is a programme of events that runs from June to September each year, mainly set in Cambridge's beautiful parks.

It includes The Big Weekend and Cambridge Children's Festival, the Midsummer Fair, the Comedy Marquee club and many senior citizen's events.

Other highlights include the Parker's Piece weekend in the heart of the city which includes a free open air pop concert, Big Day Out - a family day out with free music and entertainment, a Children's Festival and the Comedy Marquee.

The Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival

The Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the longest running and most famous folk festivals in the world. It is renowned for its eclectic mix of music and a wide definition of what might be considered folk, together with its unique, intimate atmosphere. It boasts some of the best facilities to be found at an outdoor festival and annually sells out in advance.

Heart of the World festival

The annual Heart of the World festival is a celebration and exploration of music and culture from around the world.
