Entertainment

The Tourist Information Centre has access information on local places of interest, including those which can provide audio guides, and can let you know of other organisations offering information or services specific to disabled visitors - or residents wishing to discover more of Cambridge.
If you need help with finding suitable accommodation, the Tourist Information Centre also has information on local overnight accommodation for disabled people.
All of Cambridge's cinemas are fully accessible and offer a range of services for disabled people.

Sports
We hope disabled people will use and enjoy our various sports and entertainment facilities.
The Sports Development Service offers a number of different and exciting activities designed for disabled people and mental health service users.
There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools in Cambridge. Parkside Pool has good access for wheelchair users, including hoists and the Abbey Pool has recently improved it's access for disabled people. The pool at Chesterton Sports Centre is also fully accessible.
Audio Guides
Audio tours are available in locations including the Fitzwilliam Museum, the Cambridge Folk Museum and King's College Chapel. The Tourist Information Centre can provide further information on this service.
The Shape East website has virtual tours and access information for most of the more famous Cambridge buildings, landmarks and attractions. A series of podcast/MP3 tours is available, with accompanying maps, to show you the very best of Cambridge.
Tourist Tracks is another company which offers MP3 or CD audio tours of Cambridge.
Community Development
Our Community Centres welcome disabled people to their activities and facilities, and you can book rooms and halls for meetings or events, and advice and funding are available for voluntary and community groups interested in improving their accessibility to disabled people.
An Equalities Development Team is on hand to provide support, advice and information to people working with or for disabled people, lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gendered people, ethnic minority groups, and people of different faiths.
