Complimentary dinner to the outgoing Mayor
A dinner to mark the end of the year in office of the Mayor, Councillor Ian Nimmo-Smith, will take place at Corpus Christi College, Trumpington Street, on Thursday 14 June.
Those attending will be received by the new Mayor and the outgoing Mayor from 7pm and dinner will be served at 7.30pm.
It is hoped that it will be possible to hold the reception in the Old Court; should the weather be unkind, then the reception will be held in the Old and the New Combination Rooms.
Tickets can be obtained from Room 10, First Floor, Guildhall at £38 each. This includes a sherry reception and two glasses of table wine with the meal. The closing date is 6 June.
Please state, when you book your tickets, if you would prefer a vegetarian meal or whether you have any other special dietary requirements. Please also state if you have any mobility problems or are a wheelchair user so that arrangements can be made to assist you when you arrive at the college.
It is suggested that those guests travelling by car use the Grand Arcade car park which is situated in Corn Exchange Street, about a five minute walk away from the college.
It is hoped that this event will be well supported and that you, with friends/colleagues/spouse/partner will be able to be present. When applying for tickets, please state with whom you wish to sit. Cheques should be made payable to “Mayor’s Dinner Account”. Dress: dinner jacket or lounge suit.
