About the Cambridge City Council City Services Department
Services provided
We are made up of several different businesses and we carry out a wide variety of work not only for Cambridge City Council but also other local authorities, hospitals, charities and housing associations, within a 30 mile radius of Cambridge. Our work includes:
- Building maintenance — maintain and refurbish council houses and property for the City Council and well as other local authorities, charities and housing associations
- Streetscene — maintains parks, sports areas, play areas, street landscape, toilet cleaning, street cleaning, graffitti removal, building cleaning
- Waste and Fleet — domestic and commercial refuse collection, recycling collections, removal of abandoned cars, carries out MOTs for our fleet and private cars
- Parking Services
- Facilities management - maintenance of council buildings
- CCTV - managing the network of cameras across the City
- Support Services
- Supplies and Purchasing — this section supplies materials and equipment for all our clients
- Print and Design — carry out photocopying, desk-top publishing, graphic design, offset litho printing and finishing services
- City Rangers and Helpdesk services for a single point of contact for all street-based services
