A Sustainable Community Strategy for Cambridge

The Cambridge Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) wants to improve the quality of life for people living, working in and visiting the City and has set out a vision for doing this in a Sustainable Community Strategy 2008 to 2011. This vision for the City also forms a part of a shared vision for Cambridgeshire prepared by Cambridgeshire Together.

This strategy shows how over the next few years the LSP will respond to the very real challenges of tackling climate change, ensuring the growth of the City occurs in a sustainable way and enabling local people to share in the City's success - to make the City a better place. It should be read alongside the City's Development Strategy , which is its spatial expression.

An Action Plan (presently a draft, shown as a page on the left), incorporating the aims of the Sustainable Community Strategy, has been prepared showing how the recently refreshed Local Area Agreement for Cambridgeshire will be delivered locally.
