A New Partnership
Cambridge Local Strategic Partnership has merged with South Cambridgeshire Local Strategic Partnership to form a new partnership body called Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire Local Strategic Partnership.
Please click on the LSP meetings page, to the left, to find out about the next meeting.
The new Partnership will continue to support the existing sustaianble community strategies for each of the districts until 2011, when it will look to publish a new strategy and action plan.
The Partnership is starting to develop its new strategy for improving the quality of life for people living in the areas. This will run from 2011 until 2014.
The present Sustainable Community Strategy for Cambridge
The Sustainable Community Strategy 2008 to 2011 for Cambridge sets out a vision for the city and a route map for improving the quality of life for people living, working in and visiting it. This vision for the city also forms a part of a shared vision for Cambridgeshire prepared by Cambridgeshire Together.
It shows how local partnerships will respond to the very real challenges of tackling climate change, ensuring the growth of the city occurs in a sustainable way and enabling local people to share in the city's success - to make the city a better place. It should be read alongside the city's Development Strategy , which is its spatial expression.
An Action Plan, shown as a page on the left, incorporating the aims of the Sustainable Community Strategy, has been prepared showing how the recently refreshed Local Area Agreement for Cambridgeshire will be delivered locally.
