All Council services produce a Service Plan before the start of each financial year. These plans set out what each service aims to achieve in the coming year and how the service contributes to the Council’s Medium Term Objectives. Service Plans are published in the Council’s Best Value Performance Plan.

The annual process of developing a Service Plan works like this:

  • July - Councillors decide which Service Plans are to be reviewed
  • October - Officers up-date the Service Plans
  • November - Updated Service Plans are reviewed during the Scrutiny Committee.  Councillors can check progress against objectives and make decisions about how to best use resources or prioritise objectives for the rest of the financial year.

The pages attached to the left contain up-dated Service Plans for all service areas, grouped under the headings.
