The portfolio plans set out how each portfolio area contributes to the achievement of the council's vision statements by identifying strategic objectives for the portfolio and a number of outcomes that will be delivered under each objective.
There is a portfolio plan for each of the seven executive councillors, and these are underpinned by operational plans produced by each head of service.
The plans also include the performance measures by which progress towards achieving the outcomes will be measured.
The portfolio plans were developed by the executive councillors with a lead accountable officer, in parallel with the budget-setting process between November and February. All plans were taken through the March scrutiny cycle for scrutiny committee approval.
