The purpose of this constitution is to set out the rules which govern how the Council works.

  • It contains rules setting out the processes by which decisions are made
  • It states who is responsible for making decisions
  • It contains the rules governing the conduct of meetings
  • It includes a variety of rules, codes and procedures relating to the Council’s finances, employment practices, buying and selling land and letting contracts

There is a copy on deposit at the Guildhall. Copies can be ordered, through Democratic Services with a charge for printing and postage.
