The Blue Badge scheme provides a range of parking concessions for people with severe mobility problems who have difficulty using public transport. It enables badge holders to park close to where they need to go.
The scheme operates throughout the UK, and is administered in Cambridge by Cambridgeshire County Council. For more information and to apply for a Blue Badge, visit the county council's Blue Badge web page or telephone 0345 045 5204.
Blue Badge car parks
Parking for Blue Badge holders is free for the first three hours at the following multi-storey car parks:
Your blue badge and time clock should be clearly displayed on the dashboard before you leave your vehicle.
Our car parks map shows you which car parks in the city have blue badge parking spaces when you click on them.
Claiming your discount
To claim a car parking discount with your Blue Badge you must:
- Press the help button situated next to the Blue Badge symbol on the car park entry machine.
- You will then be asked to provide details of your Blue Badge to a member of our Customer Services team via the intercom.
- A discounted car park entry ticket will be provided.
This will give automatic exit from the car park provided your stay has been for three hours or less. If you have stayed over the free period you will need to make additional payment at one of the machines before you return to your vehicle and exit the car park.
Grand Arcade car park
To claim three hours discount at the Grand Arcade car park please take your ticket and Blue Badge to the customer service office at the exit so the cashier may process your ticket.
Terms of use
This concession is available between 8am and 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am and 5pm on Sundays.
We do not refund retrospectively.
