If it is time for your car’s annual MOT and service you can book in with Cambridge City Council. You will be guaranteed a fast, friendly and reliable service.
As well as maintaining the council’s own fleet of vehicles, the expert engineers at the Mill Road depot are also on hand to provide MOTs and servicing for cars of all makes.
You can watch the team MOT your car and enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee while you wait. As members of the Good Garage Scheme your engineer will talk you through any problems with your car and seek your authorisation before any work is carried out.
Details of any faults found and repairs carried out will be fully documented and you will be invited to complete a questionnaire after the work is done to ensure you were happy with the service you received.
Servicing is carried out to the car manufacturer's schedule and specification and the team has a diagnostic kit to plug in to your car’s computer (if it has one).
You can drop your car off as early as 7.15am which is handy if you need to catch a train from the nearby mainline station. Alternatively a member of the garage team will drop you off at any location of your choice within the city boundaries when you leave your car.
Price
The price of an MOT is £45, or £25 if carried out at the same time as a regular service.
Servicing costs vary depending on the make of your car. Any work you have done will be carried out at highly competitive labour rates.
