A car recharging point in use at Grafton East car park
Electric car recharging points have been installed in two of the city centre multi-storey car parks, which have been provided by Cambridge City Council in partnership with the Marshall Motor Group at:
- Grafton East car park – level one
- Queen Anne Terrace car park – level three (ground floor)
Recharging your car for up to three hours is free although the usual car parking fee must still be paid. It is your responsibility to move your vehicle to a normal parking bay after the three hour recharging period.
Register to use recharging points
The recharging points are accessed by using an electronic tag. To join the recharging scheme and to receive an electronic tag contact Chargemaster on 0845 528 0289.
Membership to the scheme costs £50 plus VAT per year. You will be sent:
- detailed information explaining how to use the recharging points
- an individually programmed tag to access the recharging points
- a list of eligible charging points
- a high visibility charging cable can be provided if required.
Cambridge City Council offers no guarantee as to the availability of the charging points or the power supplied from them. The council reserves the right to remove the charging points without prior notice.

Sponsor
We would like to thank Marshall Motor Group for their generous sponsorship without which we would not have been able to install these electric recharging points.
