Shopmobility gives everyone with a mobility problem, whether through age, accident or disability, permanent or temporary, access to shopping and other services in the city centre.
There are three Shopmobility centres in Cambridge: Park Street Car Park, the Grafton Centre and the Grand Arcade. There is also a satellite office in Drummer Street Bus Station.

The Bus Station office offers a pre-bookable service for people arriving by bus, taxi or Dial-a-Ride — Please call in advance on 01223 457452 to book your mobility aid.
Both Shopmobility centres have a free service including;
- Manual Wheelchairs
- Electric Wheelchairs
- Scooters
- Rollators (walking aids with seats)
- Escorts for Visually Impaired and wheelchair users
- Identification will be required (proof of name and address)
- A small form must be completed for insurance purposes, but you do not need to be a blue badge holder to use this scheme.
- If you are unsure on how to use your wheelchair or scooter staff will be on hand to show you
- Portable Hearing Loops are also available from the offices
- An escort service of up to two hours is also available for wheelchair users and people who are blind or visually impaired — This service needs to be booked in advance
- Escorts are available only by appointment
- Car parking arrangements differ on Sunday's. For more details please contact the centre.
To make a booking for a suitable mobility aid please telephone the centre you wish to use.
Both centres are open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm — The Grafton Centre is also open Sunday's from 11am - 5pm — or you can call outside office hours and leave a message.
