We offer a number of different and exciting activities for all people with a disability. These take place all year round at various venues across the city. Activities offered include:

  • Trampolining
  • Multi-sports
  • Horseriding
  • Tennis
  • Golf
  • Rowing
  • Swimming
  • Football
  • Tag Rugby
  • Fitness classes
  • Sports Zone
  • Holiday activities

You can send in a booking form to the office to book a place on the disability activities. Places on courses are limited and it is advised to phone the office first to check if places are available.

BEST 8 - Bringing Everyone into Sport Together

Sports Clubs from around the County and the Region will be attending this special event to promote their club and player pathways to adults and young people with a physical disability or visual/hearing impairment.

The day will be focussed around 8 Sports that are going to be focus sports for the English Federation of Disability Sport to work with leading up to the Paralympics in 2012. For more information, please visit the BEST 8 web page.

Disability Sports Festival

The Disability Sport Focus Group in partnership with Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council Sports Development Services organises the annual Disability Sports Festival.

The 2006 event took place on Sunday 14th May at Sawston Sports Centre, and was covered in an ITV News report which you can watch by pressing Play in the video window.

The event provided opportunities for adults and children with disabilities, and family and friends to try various sports and activities including archery, golf, kite buggying, rollerblading, rowing, canoeing, climbing, and trampolining amongst many others.
