The purpose of our CCTV system is to make Cambridge a safer and more welcoming place at any time of the day or night - allowing all citizens and visitors the opportunity to participate fully and without fear in the life of the city.
Cambridge City Council's CCTV system began on 26 August 1997 with 31 cameras in and around the city centre.
Today there are 157 cameras in the system covering Cambridge. These are operated from the Guildhall in Market Square in Cambridge.
