Site allocation policy representations are representations that we have received from objectors, which seek to change site allocation policies in the Cambridge East Area Action Plan, such as seeking higher densities within the same boundary (resulting in a greater number of dwellings) or seeking a different mix of land uses within a site.

These site allocation policy representations will be considered at the Independent Examination of the Cambridge East Area Action Plan. The purpose of this consultation is to ensure that the Inspector is aware of the publics views of the objector's proposal. This will then inform the inspector's binding decision as to whether or not our plans should be changed.

The documents that representations relate to

Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council consulted on site allocation policy representations raised in relation to the jointly prepared Cambridge East Area Action Plan over a six-week period from the 16 June to the 28 July 2006. During this period formal representations could be made in support of, or objection to, the site allocation policy representations.

What happens next

A public examination commenced in 2007 and is chaired by an independent inspector. The inspector's binding report will follow this and we will then adopt the area action plan.
