The Environmental Improvement Programme funds and delivers schemes in the public realm that make a lasting and noticeable improvement to streets or neighbourhoods. Schemes come forward from residents and could include, for example, rejuvenating public areas through new paving and landscape or perhaps a traffic calming scheme.
Please discuss your ideas with Dinah Foley-Norman, the council's principal landscape architect.

Environment grants
The Environmental Improvement Programme is run separately from other council-run neighbourhood improvement schemes that offer grants to local groups and organisations whose work brings community benefits in open spaces.
