In 2006 a group of residents associations representatives, senior planning officers and councillors held consultative group meetings to discuss the results of a survey into residents associations satisfaction with the planning service.
The survey was carried out by consultants BMG Research for the council through a series of workshops.
Following these meetings a residents association forum has now been set up, which meets every six months, to continue the dialogue with the planning service.
