Public Access is a service that allows you to view details of planning applications being considered by Cambridge City Council. It can be accessed further down this page.
A new version of the service was released on 1 April as part of our ongoing work to improve access to services.
It allows you to interact with the planning process at a time and place that suits you.
Please note - although the statutory period for some applications will have ended, you may still be able to make a representation if it is pending consideration. Please check with the planning case officer.

Limitations
The online planning history contained within the site at present is incomplete and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal land charge search.
Under normal circumstances new applications will be able to be viewed within five working days of receipt of the application.
Documents associated with planning applications for the years 2008, 2009 and 2010 are available to view online. We are working towards providing documents online for the period 2000 to 2007.
Historic applications between 1963 and 2000 are available on CD and microfiche to view in person at our customer service centre.
No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from Public Access.
Similarly the information contained within Public Access does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
Copyright notice
Plans, drawing and material submitted to the council are protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act).
You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans.
Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner.
