Get out and about this summer with SummerDaze 2008

News release from 19 June 2008

With the summer holidays fast approaching, it's that time again when everyone is looking for fun inexpensive things for their children to do.

This year the Children and Young People's Participation Service (ChYpPs) at Cambridge City Council brings you SummerDaze 2008, which is full of fun, free activities for school-aged children and young people.

Sessions include everything from whistle making, den building, arts and crafts to multimedia workshops on our specially kitted out double-decker bus, the Dec.

SummerDaze also contains Street Games, which offers a wide variety of sporting activities for children and young people to try across the city. These include basketball, cricket, frisbee, and much much more!

All school-aged children up to the age of 13 who attend schools in the city will receive a free SummerDaze leaflet. Look out for copies arriving home in early July.

To download a copy of our weekly programme, go to our website at www.cambridge.gov.uk/chypps.

For more information on our summer programme or other Chypps activities, please contact the ChYpPs team on 01223 457837 or chypps@cambridge.gov.uk.
