Cambridge Environment Festival

Cambridge Sustainable City announces the City’s 19th annual Environment Festival - two weeks of local events celebrating and promoting our natural and urban environment.

The Festival runs from Monday 26th May to Sunday 8th June with a full programme of events aimed at all ages and interests including:

  • The Sustainable City Treasure Hunt and interactive quiz with Live the City
  • A tour of your local landfill site – see where all of your rubbish ends up.
  • Visits to local nature reserves and the launch of a Bumblebee survey.
  • Junk to Funk Workshops and Trashion Show
  • Skills Swap events – learn a new skill, get tips on DIY, crafts etc.
  • The third annual Environment Pub Quiz at the Cambridge Blue.
  • World Environment Day celebration on 5th June at Christ’s Pieces with a cycle- powered cinema from Magnificent Revolution.
  • A 'Green Living' exhibition at the Grafton on 6th and 7th June, includes a carbon foot-printing stall and exhibition from the Akashi Project.
  • Allotment open day at Stourbridge Grove

You can even pick up handy environment goodies like free low energy light bulbs and cotton shopping bags, as well as advice about saving on your energy bills, or learn wildlife survey skills from the experts.
