Over 4.1 million people visited Cambridge in 2008 and of those, over one million stayed for one night or more, spending approximately £216 million in the local economy.

Tourism surveys and visitor information figures
This document details the number of tourists who visited the Visitor Information Centre (VIC), the estimated accommodation stock in Cambridge and results from Visit Cambridge's accommodation and VIC surveys.
The survey covers questions such as reasons for visiting Cambridge, mode of travel, accommodation type, origin of visitors and visitors ratings of Cambridge's facilities and provisions.
