An indoor learner pool and outdoor paddling pool in north Cambridge
 

King's Hedges pool building

The indoor learner pool is 15 metres long and 0.9 metres deep.

The paddling pool, which is just outside, has shallow entry and is 0.45 metres at its deepest point.

The pools are managed by the council in partnership with Everyone Active.

Opening times and admissions prices

Timetables and prices for the main pool can be found on the Everyone Active website.

The paddling pool is free to use and is open from 28th May to 9th September 2012.

Getting to the pools

Plenty of free parking is available nearby and there are covered cycle racks outside the learner pool.

Buses stop nearby on Buchan Street; the county council provides bus timetable information, or you can plan your journey to the pool with Transport Direct.

During public-swimming sessions. Must be accompanied at all times by a person over 17 years of age. Please notify receptionist.

Under-17-year-olds swim for free on weekday afternoons (1-4pm) in school holidays, when accompanying an under-3-year-old and over-17-year-old

Anybody enrolled on SLM swimming lessons who pays by Direct DebitOn Saturdays from 1-4pm

Disabled access

The learner pool has easy path and ramp access for wheelchair users and two dedicated disabled changing rooms and shower facilities.

A specialist hoist and cradles facilitate access into the pool.

The path to the paddling pool is suitable for wheelchairs.
