The standards for safeguarding and protecting children in sport are issued by the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU):
The Child Protection in Sport Unit works to ensure that children and young people involved in sport are safeguarded from harm. They provide a wide range of help and advice for:
- children and young people
- parents and carers
- clubs and coaches

Safeguarding Courses

Many national governing bodies of sport now also include mandatory safeguarding courses within coaching awards to ensure candidates are knowledgable on safeguarding issues. For more information, please contact your national governing body.
