Argentine tango
Argentine tango is not to be confused with the ballroom version of tango; it is a social dance with no competitions and no medals.
The dance originated in Buenos Aires in the early twentieth century and has enjoyed a worldwide revival since the late 1980s.
There are now thriving tango communities in just about every city in the world, and if you know the music, you know the language! The dance can be simple or complex, just as long as the couple are enjoying the movements and the music.
