We are preparing a new parks and open spaces strategy for Cambridge.

It will provide direction for the council in managing, maintaining and improving the value of the city's highly regarded green spaces.

Recognising there is a wide range of interested stakeholders, we wish to invite local organisations and members of the public to give us their views on the draft document.

The council approved a draft parks and open spaces strategy for consultation in March 2009.

You can also read a report summarising work on the strategy to date.

The consultation period ended on Friday 25 September. Responses are being analysed and an action plan drafted.

A final version of the strategy will be then prepared for scrutiny and approval. It will be made available here when ready.
