Whitefriars is a newly-refurbished sheltered housing scheme on Chesterton High Street.
There are two two-bedroom flats and 18 one-bedroom flats across two floors. Each flat has a bathroom, a kitchen, a store cupboard and a lounge area. A passenger lift serves the upper floors.
There is a small communal lounge and kitchenette that is freely available to tenants, although it may occasionally be used for private meetings or functions. There is also a conservatory and a laundry unit on the ground floor and a disabled access bathroom.
The building is fitted with a zone alarm made up of smoke detectors, automatically-closing doors, break glass indicators and warning bells.
Whitefriars has garden areas all around the outer building. There is also a secluded garden in the centre of the scheme overlooked by the units.
There are parking spaces for tenants and visitors, and there are two sheds at the side of the building for the safe storage of motorised buggies and bicycles.
