Roman Court is due for closure in September 2008
Roman Court is situated in Minerva Way off Kings Hedges Road and Northfield Avenue on the North side of the city.
Roman Court has four one-bedroom flats and 25 bedsits and is built on one level. Each flat has a bedroom, a bathroom, a store cupboard, a kitchen and a lounge area.
Each bedsit has a lounge with a sleeping area, a store cupboard, a kitchen and WC. There are also communal bathrooms along the corridor.
Each unit has an internal and external door entrance. There is a large communal lounge and kitchenette that is freely available to tenants, although it may occasionally be used for private meetings or functions, and a laundry unit on the ground floor.
The building is fitted with a zone alarm made up of smoke detectors, automatically-closing doors, break glass indicators and warning bells.
A guest room is available at Roman Court for the use of visiting relatives and friends. There is a small charge of £5 per night for the use of the guest room. Bookings are made through the independent living facilitator.
Roman Court has two garden areas that are private and secluded, one of which has an ornamental pond as a very attractive feature, and parking spaces for tenants and visitors.
