The Ditton Court sheltered scheme is situated in Bergholt Close, off Ditton Lane in Fen Ditton.

Ditton Court has 26 one-bedroom flats and is built on two floors. There is a newly-refurbished passenger lift that serves the upper floors.

Each flat has a bedroom, a bathroom, a large store cupboard, a kitchen and a lounge/dining area.

There is a large communal lounge and kitchenette that is freely available to tenants, although it may occasionally be used for private meetings or functions. There is also a laundry unit on the first floor, which is for tenants use.

The building is fitted with a zone alarm made up of smoke detectors, automatic-closing doors, break glass indicators and warning bells.

A guest room is available on the first floor at Ditton Court for the use of visiting relatives and friends. There is a small charge of £5.00 per night for the use of the guest room. Bookings are made through the Independent Living Facilitator.

There are facilities for tenant and visitor parking at Ditton Court. Ditton Court has its own gardens, which are secluded, cool and shady and are utilised frequently by tenants.

Ditton Court is within easy walking distance of local shops including a chemist, butchers, bakers and hairdressers. Addenbrooke's hospital, the train station and town centre are just a bus journey away, and there is a bus stop just outside.

The Dial-a-Ride bus service can also be accessed for those who may have difficulty using public transport and who do not have access to their own transport.

There is a doctor's surgery nearby, and good links have been established with the district nursing services, social services and care agencies for those who require them.
