Brandon Court is located in Prospect Row in the Kite area of the city, behind the police and fire station.

Brandon Court has two one-bedroom flats and 34 bed-sits and is built on three floors. There is a passenger lift that serves the upper floors.

Each flat has a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a lounge area.

Each bedsit has a lounge with a sleeping area, a kitchen and WC, with a communal bathing facilities along each corridor.

There is a large communal lounge and kitchenette that is freely available to tenants, although it may occasionally be used for private meetings or functions. There is also a sun lounge on the ground floor and a laundry unit on the ground floor.

The building is fitted with a zone alarm made up of smoke detectors, automatically-closing doors, break glass indicators and warning bells.

A guest room is available for the use of visiting relatives and friends. This just consists of a sleeping area; the WC is in the adjacent corridor. There is a small charge of £5 per night for the use of the guest room. Bookings are made through the independent living facilitator.

There is a private, enclosed paved garden area, and parking spaces for tenants and visitors.

Brandon Court is within walking distance of the city centre, which consists of various high street stores. Addenbrooke's hospital and the train station are just a bus journey away, and there are bus stops about a five-minute walk away.

The Dial-a-Ride bus service can also be accessed for those who may have difficulty using public transport and who do not have access to their own transport.

Doctors' surgeries are about 20-30 minutes away by foot, and good links have been established with the district nursing services, social services and care agencies for those who require them.
