If you are a victim of domestic violence, you can talk in confidence to a housing officer, who will be able to offer advice about your housing rights and options and explain where you will be able to get more specialist help.
We may be able to provide you with extra security measures to allow you to stay in your home if you want to do so (for example, domestic-violence alarms, new locks, spyholes and door chains).
If you are experiencing domestic violence, we will make sure you have a safe alternative place to stay.
This is likely to be a women's refuge (women and children only), or another form of temporary accommodation. Contact your local housing officer or the housing options and advice team (telephone 01223 457934) if you want to discuss this option.
