Southern Fringe Community Forum

A quarterly community meeting covering the development sites around Trumpington

The Southern Fringe Community Forum meeting brings together residents with the local authorities and developers in an information exchange concerning the new housing developments on the southern fringe of Cambridge.

The forum wants to help enable the smooth integration of new communities into a historically important parish, as well as celebrate successes and promote the southern fringe as a good place to live.

It’s open to everybody and a chance to meet those working on the sites and other residents to discuss relevant issues.

Meetings

Forum meetings are divided into two parts. The first is an informal drop-in, with an opportunity to look at maps, plans and details and chat with local authority planners, developers and housing association representatives over a cup of tea. Feel free to stay for five minutes or an hour.

A more formal meeting follows, with an agenda and presentations chaired by a local councillor. Suggestions for topics to be discussed are welcome from local residents. This part of the meeting lasts approximately two hours.
