The Cambridge Climate Change Charter is a voluntary pledge to address the issues of climate change.
It represents a high-level, broad statement of commitment that any Cambridge organisation can make publicly.
The charter is designed to be signed by the leaders of Cambridge organisations, such as chairs, chief executives, school principals, managing directors or university vice-chancellors.
Practical support programme
A new practical support programme to help Climate Change Charter participants meet its associated commitments is available in Cambridge city and south Cambridgeshire. This provides online resources, an awards programme, annual 'expo' event as well as more regular informal site visits and meetings to enable local workplaces to share their knowledge and experience.
Please visit the Cambridge Climate Change Charter website for this initiative being delivered by Cambridge Architectural Research Ltd, Cambridge Carbon Footprint and the SmartLife Centre at Cambridge Regional College.
The benefits of signing
Addressing the causes and consequences of climate change will not only contribute towards the long-term security and prosperity of Cambridge, but can also add value to the economic, marketing, education or social responsibility activities of supporting organisations.
The signing itself can be used as a publicity opportunity and the charter is meant to be framed and displayed somewhere prominent.
How to pledge support
Please visit the Cambridge Climate Change Charter website to view instructions for participating in this initiative, including pledging the support of your organisation.
