Local meeting

There are many people in Cambridge who want to help keep the city clean and tidy. Cleaner Cambridge Campaign and Neighbourhood Links both help to bring these people together to make a difference to the city's environment.

Cleaner Cambridge Campaign

Cleaner Cambridge Campaign is an independent group that aims to raise awareness of litter problems in Cambridge and explores potential solutions.

The group is composed of Cambridge residents, councillors, council staff, local businesses and university representatives who have an interest in having clean streets and public spaces.

Members give their time freely and the group has no official funding. The group has organised a number of projects including the launch of the high profile pee-pods in the city centre to tackle street urination. The group has also been instrumental in introducing and supporting free workshops in schools on the topics of rubbish and litter.

If you would like to find out about the work of this group or get involved in helping to make Cambridge a cleaner, safer, greener city, please email cleanercambridge@cambridge.gov.uk

Neighbourhood Links

Neighbourhood Links is a network of residents across Cambridge who are interested in protecting their local environment from problems including graffiti, flytipping and littering.

Members notice what is happening in their local neighbourhood and want to do something about it. The work is simple - once you have seen something of concern in your neighbourhood, all you have to do is get in touch with us.

If you are interested in becoming a Neighbourhood Link for your area, please contact us and we will be happy to talk about this in more detail with you.
