Services offered

We offer the following services:

• free control of cockroaches and bedbugs for domestic premises in the city
• free treatment of rats in domestic premises
• investigation of complaints of rodent infestation
• treatment for mice in domestic premises (£33 per complete treatment; please note payment must be made in advance
• rodent control service for business premises
• advice on and identification of insect pests

We do not offer a service to treat:

• wasps
• bee swarms
• fleas
• ants or beetles
• rabbits or squirrels
• foxes, although you may be able to get some useful information from www.thefoxwebsite.org

Although we are unable to recommend a particular contractor, you may wish to look up "pest control services" on the Yellow Pages website for a list of contractors.

Certain species that may cause problems, such as bats, are protected by law. Advice is such cases should be sought from Natural England.

What can you do?

Try the following to avoid infestation:

• don't leave food waste lying around
• avoid piles of refuse which could provide a home and food for rodents and insects
• maintain your drainage system properly - repair broken pipes and covers etc.
• report problems as soon as possible
