The City Council has adopted powers under the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1966 which means that anyone in charge of a dog must clean up in any public place in Cambridge.

This includes any open land, road, footpath or grass verge.

Anyone caught not cleaning up could be prosecuted and fined up to £1,000.

Dog waste bins are situated in parks and recreational areas throughout the city.
