Rules that govern how the council works
 

The purpose of the Constitution is to set out the rules that govern how the council works.

The Constitution:

  • contains rules setting out the processes by which decisions are made
  • states who is responsible for making decisions
  • contains the rules governing the conduct of meetings
  • includes a variety of rules, codes and procedures relating to the council's finances, employment practices, and buying, selling and letting contracts

Copies can be ordered from Democratic Services (email democratic.services@cambridge.gov.uk) with a charge for printing and postage.

Alternatively, a copy is available to read at the Guildhall.
