Two surveys are carried out periodically with Cambridge residents: the Place survey and the citizens' survey.
Place survey
The Place Survey replaces the Best Value User Satisfaction Survey that local authorities were previously required to undertake every three years.
In the 2008 survey, we achieved a significantly higher score than the national average for 11 out of the 18 national indicators.

Citizens’ survey
This is a major survey of residents undertaken on our behalf every two years by an independent research agency.
The purpose is to track the views and attitudes of residents about local issues including satisfaction with services, our spending priorities, communication with us and feelings of safety.
