THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT EQUALITIES DEVELOPMENT TEAM
The Equalities Development Team provides support, information and advice to individuals, groups and organisations working with and for black and minority ethnic people, disabled people, lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gendered people, older people, women and people of different faiths.
The Equalities Development Team
- Help new groups to start and support the development of community groups tackling discrimination.
- Help organisations improve their practice.
- Identify gaps in provision and ways to improve services.
- Set up research and development projects.
- Set up and offer training.
- Develop and maintain a library and resource unit.
- Provide information on equalities legislation and equalities good practice.
