We recognise that economic inequalities are present in the city and that people with low incomes may have fewer opportunities to enjoy human rights, such as good health, compared to people living on higher incomes.
Our mapping poverty scheme shows the extent and concentration of low-income households in the city, using housing and council tax benefit claims as an indicator of low income.
This is helpful for improving service delivery and targeting initiatives aimed at reducing inequalities.
