The Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 requires local housing authorities and registered social landlords to develop and publish a statement of policy and procedure.

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister developed a code of guidance to enable local housing authorities and registered social landlords to produce an effective policy and procedure when tackling housing related antisocial behaviour and neighbour nuisance.

Charter of standards

All crime and disorder reduction partnerships - including the police, local authorities and the fire service - must tell local people what they are doing to tackle antisocial behaviour.

They must also let them know about the help and support they are entitled to if they report a problem.
