The Buchan Street neighbourhood centre has been open since 1990 and has recently been refurbished.

The new facilities include improved meeting rooms, a new kitchen and improved access for disabled people.

The centre is home to the King's Hedges Healthy Living project.

Facilities

As well as the hall and foyer area there are two main meeting rooms and a smaller room suitable for one-to-one meetings. The centre also has a garden for outdoor activities.

Kitchen facilities and baby-changing facilities are availble, and the centre has internet access point that is free but needs to be booked in advance.

The centre can be hired for conferences and parties of up to 100 people.

Disabled access

The centre is wheelchair-accessible throughout, with push-button access to the main doors.

There are three disabled parking bays, a hearing-loop system in most rooms, an accessible toilet and braille signage.
