The 82 Akeman Street community room provides a local meeting space large enough for up to 20 people.
As well as a ground-floor meeting room, there is a small garden that can be used in the summer months.
A number of local community-development workers are based at the centre, including the community worker for the Arbury Neighbourhood Community project. The Arc Childrens'Centre team are also based here .

Facilities
The meeting room has kitchen facilities including a cooker, microwave and fridge and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Internet access is available on Tuesday mornings; this is free but needs to be booked in advance.
Limited parking is available outside on the forecourt. There are no facilities for hosting parties at the centre.
Disabled access
There is ramped access to the main entrance and garden area and the ground floor is accessible for wheelchair users.
A hearing-loop system is installed in the downstairs meeting room.
The downstairs toilet facilities have been adapted for disabled people and all signage is duplicated in braille.
